The White Stripes the American rock group. It was formed to the USA, the State of Michigan, Detroit, in 1997. Its structure from the very beginning included only two persons: Jack White , the guitarist, the pianist and the vocalist, and Meg White (, the drummer, the percussionist sometimes executing background vocals (in three songs the basic vocal). Occasionally in group songs other tools are used also: a bass guitar, êàëèìáà, a harmonica, a banjo.
Jack White (a real name John Dzhillis) was born in 1975 and at the age of five years for the first time villages for shock, and in sixteen beginnings to master a guitar. After school it planned to register in fleet or even to become the Catholic priest, but eventually was arranged to work as the upholsterer in a furniture workshop. Before occurrence of "White strips» Jack White played a guitar in groups «The Go», «Goober And The Peas», «Upholters» (last also consisted of two persons). Ìag never gathered to appear on stage. According to Jack, he simply somehow has asked Meg to accompany it during rehearsal, and it has sounded unexpectedly successfully. In 1997 with support of sound recording company Italy Records first 7 inch vinyl single of group has been let out «Lets Shake Hands», soon there was the second «Lafayette Blues».
The first album which has left in 1999, hasn't brought The White Stripes wide popularity. After the lapse of some time it is possible to tell that it was the most rigid in their creativity a plate.
