Despite that the group can be carried to indi-fate, at The Flaming LIps magnificent and multilayered music, the mad lyrics and amusing names of songs. They also are known for the unusual performances with participation of animals, the doll representations, accompanied by difficult light shows.
The group is obliged by the bizarrnym name to a dream of first vocalist Mark Kojna (Mark Coyne): Maiden Maria has flown up to it sitting on a back seat of a car, and has covered with fiery kisses the person (it is necessary to notice that to even-then-not-sir Paul McCartney at the very beginning of The Beatles someone arrived on a flaring pie).
