The Doors, the American rock group.
It is formed in 1965 in Los Angeles in structure: Jim Morrison (vocal), Rej Manzarek (keyboard), Robbie Kriger (guitar), John Denzmor (shock). The group has existed only six years, however its influence on music of 1980 and 1990th years undoubtedly.
Yards of Manzarek, the senior student of the Californian university, has got acquainted with the first-year student of the same university of J. Morrison also was delighted with its verses. They have decided to create the group. Name The Doors was is taken from an essay of Oldosa Haksli «The Doors Of Perception».
In 1966 group has signed the contract with firm Columbia/CBS, but for a year it has not been written any song. Only having signed the contract with Elektra Records, musicians have let out in 1967 magnificent debut album with the same name which became the international best seller that was promoted by an exit of single Light My Fire which has headed charts of the USA. Album Strange Days which has dispersed, as well as the first, million circulation and entered in national Torahs 3 the same year was issued.
In 1967 against Morrison the first charge «in public order infringement» has been brought the singer during a concert in Connecticut has provoked policemen, and they have amicably rushed to a scene where in the presence of several tens thousand spectators Morrison has been arrested. This sort of charges were put forward against the singer repeatedly.
The third album Waiting For The Sun left in the end of 1968 after two American (Torahs 40) singles: The Unknown Soldier (to this single the film roller in which Morrison's "execution" has been shown has been removed is there was the first in the history of fate promotion-video) and Hello I Love You, number which has become by their second single one.
