Group of the USA. The group has written down the first album Tormented independently in 1996. It didn't enjoy the person popularity. But, since release in their April, 1999 of album Dysfunction first on official label FlipElektra, group STAIND has shown remarkable, almost classical scheme of success of new today's alternative projects. In this time the command has untwisted three main of hit Just Go, Mudshovel and Home, has won back tens concerts for hundreds thousand fans in rounds with Kid Rock, MONSTER MAGNET, SEVENDUST, plus of tour Family Values with LIMP BIZKIT and KORN. The group could sell more than one million plates. Then, as it often happens in such cases, STAIND have received five nominations on Boston Music Awards 2000, and guitarist Mike Mashok by results of voting of readers of magazine Guitar World has been declared by the best new talent. In 2001 there was a long-awaited third disk of collective under name Break The Cycle which has headed Billboard Modern Rock Chart, and after only 11 weeks from the date of an exit became three times platinum.
