Young quartet Arctic Monkeys took nothing the suspecting Britain storm at the very beginning of 2006. They have appeared practically from anywhere, and, nevertheless, their two debut singles «I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor» and «When the Sun Goes Down» have got straight on the first place of national charts, and their first album «Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not» - has set up an absolute record by quantity of the copies sold in the first week of sale. Besides it Arctic Monkeys have carried away with itself prize Brit Awards in a category «Best new group», and also became the first collective, managed to take away magazine NME award in nominations «Best new group» and «the Best group» simultaneously.

«The Arctic monkeys» were born in 2002 in a place Haj Green, suburb of an English city of Sheffield. All has begun that two neighbors-friends, Alex Turner and Dzhejmi Cook, have simultaneously asked the parents to present it for Christmas on any musical instrument. Both have received on an electroguitar and, independently having mastered game elements, have decided to hammer together group. Its structure also included school friends of a couple of guitarists Andy Nicholson and Matt Hedlers. Nicholson already played on a bass, and consequently Hedlersu doesn't remain anything other how to take of a position of the drummer — «At them at all already there were guitars, therefore I had to buy shock installation». The group took at once to itself name Arctic Monkeys.
